About The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League
In 2018, Manny Pacquiao began the MPBL as an amateur league that would focus on area talents from each team’s respective region of the Philippines. In 2021, the league was declared a pro sport, and now operates as a feeder system to the Philippines Basketball Association.
