Philippine Casino Revenue Could Double By 2028 If Tourism Continues To Grow

PAGCOR new logoThe Philippines expects casino gross gaming revenue to continue its post-pandemic rise. Market analysts predict domestic casino revenue could double by 2028.

The rise in revenue is partly due to increased tourism to the island country. Much of the tourism industry consists of wealthy business people from China looking for a close travel destination with plenty of entertainment options. With at least six new casinos estimated to be worth $3 billion coming to the Philippines in the next few years, tourism is expected to continue growing alongside the latest gaming facilities.

Recently, Japan approved the construction of a new domestic casino after the gambling ban was lifted from Osaka. Other Asian countries, such as Thailand, are also expected to reverse course on restrictive gambling laws. The Philippines is lowering its gambling tax rate and issuing more domestic casino licenses to combat the anticipated competition.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) regulates the casino gambling industry in the Philippines. PAGCOR owns numerous domestic casinos and wants to sell its facilities to focus solely on regulation.

Online Casino Options In The Philippines

While PAGCOR has announced they will launch a new state-of-the-art 3D online casino, domestic casinos are not allowed to offer their services online. Legal online PH casinos are only available from licensed operators outside the country.

Online casinos offer all the typical games you would find at a domestic casino, however,  random-number-generators (RGs) are employed instead of traditional dealers. Domestic casinos also use rng’s in their slot and video poker machines.

Live Dealer Casino Games Online

In addition to traditional table games, slots, blackjack, roulette, and video poker, live dealer casino games are also offered at select sites. While every casino has different gaming options, you can typically find the following: Live Dealer Baccarat, Live Dealer Blackjack, Live Dealer Roulette, and Live Dealer Super6

Our top-rated online casino site, BetOnline, has recently expanded its live dealer casino and added many new options.
