The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) recently announced that their online casino, Casino Filipino, is expected to launch in Q4 of 2024, bringing a new era of gaming to Filipino players.
PAGCOR chairman Alejandro Tengco said at a recent press conference that the online casino would partner with a Philippine company to launch the new service. Tengco assured us that they have already narrowed their partner list to three highly credible companies in the online gaming world, and that they could announce the partnership by the end of July.
PAGCOR owns more than 40 branches and satellite casinos nationwide and also regulates the industry. Several prominent businessmen and House leaders have called for PAGCOR to disband its offshore gaming program (POGO) and privatize the gambling industry. However, no action has yet been taken on the matter.
PAGCOR has promised to sell its owned casinos, including the online casino. When asked about a timeline for privatization, Tengco stated that he wants it done by the end of his tenure in 2028. This move is expected to bring significant changes to the industry, potentially leading to improved services, increased competition, and better opportunities for players and investors.
Online Casinos In The Philippines
Filipino players have multiple options for online casino gambling, including domestic options and offshore gambling destinations. Online casinos that accept Bitcoin are the top choice for many players as they offer fast and reliable banking. Other popular banking options include altcoins such as Ethereum, Cardano, Dogecoin, and more, alongside traditional payment methods such as Visa or MasterCard.
Popular online casino games include a wide variety such as blackjack, roulette, craps, video poker, specialty games, and sometimes live dealer casino games. Each site you will find online has similar options but tends to have a niche, whether slots, live games, or something else, ensuring that players are always entertained and engaged.
