The horse racing industry in the Philippines is regulated through the Philippine Racing Commission (PHILRACOM). During events and weekly races, citizens come from various cities to watch and enjoy the local horse races. The Philippines has three major horse racecourses which house spectator seating, food, beverages, and betting opportunities. Reviewed below are each racetrack found in the Philippines.
Racetracks In The Philippines
Three racetracks are often used in rotation by the Metro Manila Turf Club, Manila Jockey Club, and Philippine Racing Club - the San Lazaro Leisure Park and Track, the Malvar, Batangas Racetrack, and Santa Ana Park. Horses, jockeys, trainers, and owners utilize all three tracks for housing, training, and horse racing purposes.

Spectators not on club property can wager remotely from the Santa Ana and San Lazaro off-track betting facilities and view races broadcasted via USTREAM.
For spectators who require nourishment, a restaurant is fixed at the club which offers drinks, snacks, sandwiches, burgers, desserts, and ice cream. Finger food and full meals are common here, as well as, a full-service bar for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The franchise allows the club the right to build, operate and manage a single track in either the City of Makati, provinces of Rizal, Laguna or Cavite and the permission to run races in said areas. The club may also accept or arrange wagers for races run at either track and within the Philippines or overseas.

Online Horse Racebooks
Traveling to local racetracks may become difficult for those who work during races or elderly individuals who cannot walk the distance, therefore, online betting may be a more attractive alternative. Wagering on horse races is convenient when done through a mobile device or personal computer like those found at internet cafes. Online racebooks allow locals the ability to bet on horses from their own homes or local community.
